Maintenance Technician – Days

Days 7am – 7pm working a shift pattern of 3 on – 3 off
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the throughput and maintenance of the tray washing process machinery on the day shift.
Problem solving, Technical Skills, Continuous Improvement and Preventative Maintenance are key requirements to this role.
The ideal Maintenance Technician will be:
- Apprentice trained in mechanical / electrical or related subject
- Experienced within an automated environment
- Able to identify potential issues before they happen and have the skills to rectify/avoid unplanned stoppages. Making short term fixes where necessary and then planning in the long term fix.
- 50/50 mechanically biased with some electrical work
- Able to work with a minimum of supervision
- Able to use their skills and foresight to identify continuous improvement opportunities within the processes
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for:
- Efficient running of the tray washing process and equipment
- Limiting unplanned downtime is the core responsibility of this role
- The condition and reliability of the production equipment including its safety
- Testing and checking after repair work is completed to avoid repeated returns to the same issue
- Record and monitor quality process parameters and the required levels are clearly defined (TF024)
- Carry out preventative maintenance correctly and maintain records accordingly
- Work with all of the maintenance team, passing over all information of any issues to the other shifts
This role will suit someone who has practical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or a production environment who can take ownership of the equipment maintenance on the day shift.
